Production I.G. releases a new trailer for the first of four Ghost in the Shell ARISE films. This quatrology features a reimagined origin story for the protagonists’ integration into Section 9; along with altered designs for all of the characters, more in line with their original manga attire (before S.A.S).
The first film, Border 1: Ghost Pain, releases in Japanese theaters on June 22nd.
Chiptune artist and remixer Dj CUTMAN is doing a Micro Tour in a few cities this weekend, starting with San Francisco on Thursday, Eugene on Saturday, and our own Ground Kontrol in Portland on Sunday.
With a variety of collaborations and mixes, his popularity among gaming music enthusiasts has surged over the last two years.

Sacred Citadel was a game that entered my nerd radar way back at PAX 2012. After some thorough hands on time at the event, I was excited and anxious for the game to actually come out. Now that it’s finally out, let’s review the thing.

The anime site for Watashi ga Motenai no wa dō Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui! (Watamote for short) has been updated with an airing month and early artwork.
Tomoko Kuroi is a unkept Freshman who yearns for the attention of boys at her new High School. Unfortunately, she soon learns that she is quite the opposite of what people would consider popular, and many of her special interests don’t carry over to normal society. The original manga that this anime is based off of has had a large cult following grow over the last year due to the facial expressions and awkward black humor contained within.
The series starts this July in Japan. Yen Press has announced that they are localizing the manga later this year.
Being in development for several years, Ragnarok Online 2 was a nearly forgotten pipe dream, even after all the hype the original built up almost a decade ago. In 2010, it was even completely scrapped and re-announced all over again as Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the Second.
While it finally was released on the Gamebryo engine last year in Korea, there were only a few quips of localization being revealed in the last few weeks. But after a brief April beta, GRAVITY CO.’s game is finally released in the West and available on Steam as a F2P title.
